Two Fast Support & Intervention Vessels

Precision Transport of Two Fast Support & Intervention Vessels

Commercial Marine Transport (CMT) successfully managed the global transportation of two Fast Support & Intervention Vessels (FSIVs), the YC Bora and Sirocco. Both vessels, each measuring 53 metres, were carefully transported from their respective locations: the YC Bora from Walvis Bay, Namibia, to Sharjah, UAE, and the Sirocco from Senegal to Singapore.

For the YC Bora, the CMT team utilised the ‘Pacific Integrity’, a cargo ship equipped with dual 240-tonne heavy lift cranes, ensuring the safe and efficient handling of the vessel during the long-distance journey. Simultaneously, CMT meticulously planned the transport of the Sirocco, leveraging customised cradling and lashing techniques to maintain stability and safety throughout its transit to Singapore.

Both operations required detailed route planning, specialised loading procedures, and close coordination with port authorities to meet tight deadlines. These projects not only demonstrated CMT’s ability to handle complex maritime logistics but also showcased the division’s flexibility in tailoring transport solutions to the specific requirements of each vessel. With the successful delivery of these FSIVs, CMT continues to reinforce its reputation as a trusted partner in global marine transport.
